“Woman Got Soul” is the first single to be released from the 'Melbourne's Women of Soul' album, due for release April 2015 featuring Melbourne’s premier soul voices Kylie Auldist, Stella Angelico, Chelsea Wilson, Rita Satch, Candice Monique, Christina Perfection, (The Perfections), Lisa Faithfull (Soul Safari) and May Johnston (Deep Street Soul), Carla Troiano, Jennifer Kingwell and Shae Mourtzakis.
In conjunction with International Women’s Day WOS are offering up the track as a fundraising single for the entire month of March. ALL proceeds raised through the song during March will be donated to the Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria.
The Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria focuses strongly on empowering those who have experienced family violence and the people who dedicate their lives to helping survivors. They support women, men, children, LGBTIQ communities and people experiencing disability.
Women of Soul want to use International Women's Day as an opportunity to highlight their amazing work and thank them for making a difference.
"The work DVRCV do is so admirable. Their services are really accessible and they provide a truly safe place for people to seek help and information. I’m so proud Women of Soul are supporting DVRCV for International Women’s Day" Christina Perfection
